New Masculinities 2017
Mercy Corps and UN Women Colombia developed the project "Promotion of Nonviolent Correspondent Masculinities and the Promotion of Non-Sexist Advertising". Strengthening the capacity of social organizations of men overcoming gender based violence and promoting gender equality. The transformation of these practices engages them in better reproductive and care tasks. We also worked with advertising agencies to recognize and promote cutting-edge initiatives to generate positive changes in the roles of men and women in today's society. We created the first advertising ranking "De Igual a Igual" in the framework of the International Advertising Congress: Cartagena Inspira; Awarding 4 agencies and 4 advertisers who carried out television campaigns that broke sexist stereotypes and contributed to the transformation of gender relations. This contributed to overcoming violence against women.
